Library

The Jerry Lederer Aviation Safety Library — named in honor of Jerry Lederer as a tribute to his life-long leadership in improving global aviation safety — and its professional staff provide valuable research and reference services to Flight Safety Foundation members and staff, the news media and the public.

The library’s most important collection is the historical archive of the Foundation’s publications and seminar proceedings from the mid-1940’s when Flight Safety Foundation was formed to the present. Publications can be viewed and downloaded at two locations. The FSF magazine, AeroSafety World, 2006 to the present, is accessible via the Magazine tab on this Web Site. Many earlier publications, including special reports, can be found via the Archives and Resources tab.

FSF membership entitles members to at least one hour of library research time free of charge. Some research inquiries may require more than one hour; the member may be charged for this additional time, depending on membership level.

For more information about research and information services or to schedule time to visit the library, contact Patricia Setze, MLIS, Jerry Lederer Aviation Safety Library, Flight Safety Foundation, 601 Madison Street, Suite 300, Alexandria, Virginia 22314-1756 U.S. Telephone: + 1 703.739.6700 extension 103, Fax: +1 703.739.6708, E-mail: setze@flightsafety.org.
