Business Aviation Safety Seminar-Asia 2010 Presentations
Presented by Flight Safety Foundation, International Business Aviation Council, National Business Aircraft Association, Asian Business Aviation Association and Singapore Aviation Academy and endorsed by International Civil Aviation Organization
November 9–11, 2010
Singapore Aviation Academy, Singapore
Until recently, business aviation was confined primarily to North and South America and Europe. That is changing, particularly in the Asia Pacific, where growth is now rapid.
Growth demands attention to services and infrastructure — and most important, to safety management.
BASS-Asia 2010 is a new safety seminar to transmit lessons learned and a forum for developing concepts and plans to manage growth safely in the region. BASS-Asia is endorsed by ICAO.
Business aviation’s excellent safety record was achieved over many years by applying best practices and new safety tools as the foundation of industry safety standards. Asia Pacific aviation leaders can make the most of lessons learned around the world.
Modernized safety standards applicable to business aviation, recently introduced by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), are expected this year. BASS-Asia 2010 will include discussion of the rationale for the new rules and how other counties are incorporating new provisions into national regulations.
