European Aviation Safety Seminar

The European Aviation Safety Seminar (EASS), held at various locations in Europe, is similar in format to the IASS, but focusing on safety challenges of interest to the European industry. The EASS is co-presented by European Regions Airline Association and Eurocontrol.

Due to the economic situation in Europe and it’s neighboring countries, the Flight Safety Foundation has done an assessment of the practicality of holding a European Safety Seminar in 2013 and concluded that one will not be conducted. The Foundation seminars are important to aviation safety and we will conduct our 2012 International Aviation Safety Seminar (IASS) in Santiago, Chile and the 2013 Business Aviation Safety Seminar (BASS) in Montreal, Canada. Along with those two premier seminars we plan to conduct a minimum of two Regional Aviation Safety Seminars (RASS) in 2013 in regions that need valuable safety information. In mid 2013 the Foundation will revisit the possibility of an EASS.
