A range of aviation safety related training programs is offered as part of the overall BARS program aimed at personnel from both BARS member organizations and BARS registered aircraft operators. The first training program introduced as part of the program is the Aviation Coordinator Training Course (AVCO). The other main course on offer is the BARS Auditor Accreditation Course. A course to provide training to experienced aviation auditors on how to conduct an aircraft operator audit using the Basic Aviation Risk (BAR) Standard audit protocol. Successful completion of this two day course is a pre-requisite to becoming a BARS Accredited Auditor.
A number of other programs are to be developed as part of the BAR Standard Program:
- Ground Operations for External Loads — for resource company employees in the field working with helicopter external load operations.
- BAR Standard Audit Program for Aircraft Operators Course — aimed at aircraft operators who are either being audited under the standard or wish to use the standard internally.
