4th annual Singapore Aviation Safety Seminar
Stepping Up Safety: Enabling Growth, Embracing New Technologies
The Singapore Aviation Safety Seminar (SASS), jointly organized by the Flight Safety Foundation and the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), a training arm of Civil AviationĀ Authority of Singapore (CAAS), is an annual safety seminar designed to provide a platform for aviation professionals to share the latest safety challenges, issues, developments and initiatives to raise the safety standards in the Asia Pacific region.
The theme for SASS 2018 is āStepping Up Safety: Enabling Growth, Embracing New Technologiesā. Growth in air traffic volume and adoption of new technologies have increased the complexity in managing safety. In the pursuit to continuously improve safety, aviation stakeholders should work collectively to understand the factors impacting safety. The seminar focuses on topics relating to latest technologies impacting flight operations, maintenance and engineering; safety threats and enhancement; and change management.
