10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. EDT | SESSION 2 – Data and Safety Reporting 2nd Floor – Grand Ballroom A/B Presenters will look at what we are learning about business aviation from safety reporting programs. They will also look at how we can use that data to improve safety across the industry. This includes using flight data to ensure prepared, not just proficient pilots. Without measuring safety margins, operators are blind to the risks in their operation. Similarly, training focused solely on regulatory requirements is not enough to prevent accidents. Identifying and focusing training on safety risks will prepare pilots for items not addressed by regulations. They will also look at outlying factors found in data to make safety improvements. Safety advancement is about identifying root causes to problems and continually improving proactive risk controls over time. Speakers:
