The organizing committee for the 5th annual Safety Forum, June 6-7, 2017, which is sponsored by Flight Safety Foundation, European Regions Airline Association and Eurocontrol, is seeking presentation and poster submissions on preventing runway collisions to see how industry can work together and support global safety improvement. The 2017 Safety Forum is scheduled for for June 6-7 in Brussels.

The Safety Forum will consider industry best practices and functionality that can prevent runway incursions onto a runway that is already occupied or authorized for use; and further what can be done to prevent a collision after a runway incursion has taken place. In addition, the Forum will consider what this means for our understanding of runway collision risk. In particular, we would like to hear from those who are willing to share their front-line operational experience (i.e. pilots, air traffic controllers and vehicle drivers), as well as those who are able to share the perspective of local runway safety teams, investigators and trainers. Lessons learned and best practices from implementing EAPPRI v2.0 would be welcome as the Forum prepares for the release of EAPPRI v3.0.

The closing date for submissions is Friday, January 27, 2017. For more information on submission requirements and processes please click here.
