Alexandria, VA – The Flight Safety Foundation announced today that Richard Hill, the chief operating officer at Etihad Airways, will deliver the opening keynote at Flight Safety Foundation’s 67th annual International Air Safety Summit.
Scheduled to be delivered during the opening session on November 11th, Mr. Hill will speak to an expected crowd of more than 300 at the Foundation’s premier safety event. The 67th annual IASS will be held at the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi, UAE from November 11-13, 2014.
“With Etihad Airways as one of the major carriers headquartered in this vibrant and fast-growing region, Mr. Hill will provide our attendees with a valuable perspective on aviation operations and safety,” stated FSF President and CEO Jon Beatty.
Also added to the agenda is Abdullah Al-Sayed, president and chief executive officer at NEXUS Flight Operations Services, who will give a keynote address on Wednesday morning to discuss the importance of just culture. “Mr. Al-Sayed is a well-regarded aviation professional who can speak to some of the most important safety issues facing this region,” Mr. Beatty also said.
The IASS occurs each year in different cities around the world and features and agenda that addresses many of the major issues facing aviation, including aircraft tracking, conflict zone operations, approach and landing and go arounds, data analysis and protection, turbo prop operations and many other topics.
