In recent months, high-profile runway incursions and near misses around the world have captured the attention of industry stakeholders and the traveling public. Although no lives were lost in these near misses, these incidents serve as urgent reminders that aviation safety is not a static achievement — it is a dynamic, continuous process requiring relentless vigilance. Every close call offers a lesson, a warning, and an opportunity to strengthen our system. But we can only seize that opportunity if information is shared, analyzed, and acted upon swiftly and effectively.
