Persistent Icing

A Passaredo Transportes Aéreos ATR-72-212A, which had been dispatched from Cascavel, Brazil, with an inoperative airframe deicing system, flew into severe icing conditions while en route to Guarulhos, stalled, and struck the ground, killing all 62 passengers and crew and destroying the airplane.
