Preliminary data show declines in helicopter accidents ─ and fatal accidents ─ in 2019.

The number of helicopter accidents in 39 selected countries declined in 2019 to 236, down 5 percent from the 249 accidents recorded the previous year, according to preliminary data from the International Helicopter Safety Foundation (IHSF).
