Managing Director – BARS Program

David Anderson is the Managing Director for the Flight Safety Foundation’s BARS Program. His previous role in the BARS Program was as Audit Manager. David has over 35 years’ experience in the aviation industry starting as an apprentice mechanic in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) progressing to aircraft maintenance then as a flight engineer both with the RAAF and with a  major commercial air carrier. David also holds a commercial pilot licence. He is a Lead Auditor with experience with the BARS, IOSA, ISAGO and QMS audit protocols. David also has extensive experience and training in safety and quality management systems, risk and project management and audit standardization.
