Alexandria, VA, June 17, 2009 — The Flight Safety Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. George Ferito as Vice Chairman of the Corporate Advisory Committee. Mr. Ferito is the Director of Rotorcraft Business Development for FlightSafety International. Mr. Ferito was nominated for the position by the CAC members and appointed by Ambassador Ed Stimpson, Chairman of the FSF Board of Governors.
“George has been an active member of the CAC and also participates regularly in both the call for papers and agenda development committees,” noted Amb. Stimpson. “He also chaired the CAC’s membership committee for the last five years. With that expertise and background, I’m very pleased he’s accepted this new role.”
The Flight Safety Foundation has three advisory committees: International, European and Corporate. These committees provide the Foundation’s members with a means of guiding and assisting the efforts of the Foundation in advancing flight safety.
The Corporate Advisory Committee assists the Foundation in its efforts to deliver credible safety information to the corporate aviation community. The committee’s responsibilities include both general and specific assistance on present and future safety related activities, identification and solutions of corporate aviation safety issues and advice on special study requirements and seminar programs.
