Designed to Assist Corporate, Business and Private Flight Operations
Alexandria, VA, October 16, 2006 — The Flight Safety Foundation announced today the release of its latest contribution to improved safety of flight operations, the Aviation Department Tool Kit. This CD-based tool will be released this week at the National Business Aviation Association’s convention in Orlando, Florida. It will be available there at Booth #1163.
The tool kit provides a source of information to facilitate the development of flight operations manuals, safety management systems, emergency response procedures and other documents and management systems needed for a safe flight operation.
“The FSF Aviation Safety Audits Team has been working on this product for many months to help aviation operators improve their overall safety and be better prepared to undergo a safety audit,” commented Darol Holsman, team manager. “And in addition to these tools, we’ve also included an extensive library of publications that are specifically oriented toward flight operations managers.”
These additional publications include crew duty and rest guidelines, altitude awareness recommendations, flight attendant seating and safety procedures, maintenance practices, and many other useful documents.
The Flight Safety Foundation conducts operational safety audits and International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations safety audits for corporate, business and private operators. Services for other sectors of the aviation industry, including airlines, airports, and civil aviation authorities are also available. The Foundation guarantees confidentiality and individualized service and has 60 years of experience in the international aviation safety industry.
