Capt. Paul Morell, vice president – safety, regulatory compliance and environmental at American Airlines, will retire in January, the airline announced Nov. 1. He will be succeeded by Kevin Brickner, who previously has held leadership roles in engineering, quality training, maintenance planning, aircraft acquisitions and operations compliance.
In addition to his role at American, Morell is the industry co-chair of the U.S. Commercial Aviation Safety Team.
American Airlines is a benefactor member of Flight Safety Foundation.
