ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Flight Safety Foundation is pleased to announce that Pulsar Informatics has become a Foundation Benefactor member. Benefactors are elite members of the Foundation that contribute over and above their membership level.
“We have been working closely with Flight Safety Foundation for several years now, and felt it made sense to elevate our membership this year as a reflection of our joint success in promoting safety in aviation,” said Daniel Mollicone, Ph.D., co-founder and chief executive officer. “We are proud to be part of such a high-impact organization and look forward to continue doing our part to help shape fatigue risk management best practices for the industry.”
A Foundation member since 2013, Pulsar Informatics is actively involved in supporting a variety of sleep research studies around the world and is a leader in the performance of high-fidelity field studies of operational alertness. These research and development activities fundamentally support the company’s core objective: to create fatigue risk management products that are grounded in the best science.
“We are extremely pleased that Pulsar Informatics decided to upgrade to a Benefactor membership,” said Jon Beatty, president and CEO of Flight Safety Foundation. “Identifying and mitigating fatigue risk is a crucial element of any safety management system, and the work Dr. Mollicone and Pulsar Informatics are doing is making aviation safer every day. The global aviation system depends on the safety work of the Foundation and of companies and organizations like Pulsar Informatics.”
Dr. Mollicone will be speaking on a panel on Strategic Investments in Fatigue Management at the Foundation’s 71st annual International Air Safety Summit (IASS) in Seattle, Washington, on Nov. 12–14.
