Accidents, Fatalities Rise

Three fatal accidents involving the Western-built worldwide commercial jet fleet¹ killed 138 passengers and crewmembers — and a fourth crash killed one person on the ground — in 2016, one year after no onboard fatalities were reported, according to data from Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
