EASA data show one EU-based airline was involved in a fatal accident in 2022; two people outside the airplane were killed.

After five years without a fatal accident, operators of large passenger and cargo airliners based in the European Union (EU) experienced one fatal crash in 2022; the crash killed two people on the ground, according to data compiled by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
