FAA: Shift Away from Enforcement Mindset Enhances Safety

New compliance philosophy seen to be working.

FAA’s new “compliance philosophy,” introduced in 2015, has enabled the agency to aggregate and analyze key safety data voluntarily provided by airlines that are less concerned about being penalized, according to a recent report in ATWOnline.
