Gamlin award

Rolls-Royce Manager of Air Safety Investigation Mike Gamlin, a member of Flight Safety Foundation’s Board of Governors, has received the 2017 Sir Frank Whittle Safety Award from the International Federation of Airworthiness (IFA).

Gamlin received the award for his “dedication to ensuring the effective investigation of aircraft accidents across the globe,” according to IFA Chief Executive John Vincent. “Mike is trusted and well respected throughout the international aviation community.”

Vincent presented the award to Gamlin on Sept. 20 during a U.K. Air Accidents Investigation Branch meeting. Gamlin is responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the support of state-led safety related investigations of events, incidents and accidents involving Rolls-Royce civil and military products and systems globally.
