Government Shutdown Delays FAA UAS Symposium

by FSF Editorial Staff | January 18, 2019

The FAA UAS Symposium, which had been scheduled to be presented Feb. 12–14 in Baltimore by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), is being postponed because of the partial shutdown of the U.S. government. New dates will be announced after FAA employees return to work.

“Once employees return, we will continue to build an event that will bring stakeholders together from all sectors to help define the rules and concepts that will govern the future of drone operations,” the sponsoring organizations said. “It is only at this symposium where you will discover how we are working together to establish partnerships and identify the responsibilities, education and tools our partners need to be successful in their roles.”

Updates will be available at the symposium website http://faauas.auvsi.net/faa2019/home.
