Includes failures or malfunctions of any of the following: propellers, rotors, propeller/main rotor drive train, reversers, and powerplant controls. Mechanical issues often are divided into two categories: system/component failure–powerplant (SCF–PP), and system/component failure–non-powerplant (SCF–NP).
