During a meeting last week, the U.S. Unmanned Aircraft Safety Team (UAST) created three risk reduction working groups. Flight Safety Foundation President and CEO Jon Beatty represents the Foundation on the UAST and is a member of the UAS (unmanned aircraft system) loss of control working group. The other two groups focus on injury reduction and safety culture. Each group will analyze currently available data to develop specific safety enhancements.
